Maximum number of gpx files exceeded - On my GPSMAP 62s | Garmin (Resolved)

Ive been very happy with my GPSMAP 62s | Garmin until now.  Ive got maybe 180 geocaches on the GPSMAP 62s | Garmin and now Im getting this message "maximum number of gpx files exceeded". It doesnt look like anymore caches are showing up on the GPSMAP 62s | Garmin when I press " send to gps", even though it says they were sent. Has anyone else experienced this and what can be done about it other then deleting the found caches?

You need to delete some of your old gpx files that are located on your Oregon. They are located in the folder called "GPX" on the internal memory of the Oregon. Since you are a premium member it might be better to download PQ which can contain up to 500 geocaches in a single gpx file, however, there is limit of having 2000 geocaches loaded at once. Hope this helps!

I would guess that you are doing it the old way and sending each cache as an individual file. The limit for files is 200. After you clean out the gps using what ryan3295 said you need to use GSAK. There are two ways. One is to create a GPX file with all the caches you want and use the windows explorer to copy/move it to the Oregon. The other way is to go to the GSAK forum and look for the export macro which will do all of that.

If you do have GSAK and are using the Send to Device feature that it the root of your problem. It is not the way to handle an Oregon.
